Quick post, but I wanted to tell you guys that right now Old Navy has a sale going on where you can get 40% off PLUS free shipping on orders $50 or more. I just scored all of these items for less than $170! Who says you have to spend a fortune to get the current favorites? Below are the items that should be coming my way within the next week or so, and I cannot wait!
I hope you took my advice and made yourself a cup of coffee, because this is your Saturday morning read! I needed a space within my blog to be random, talk about everything that is going on lately, and what I am currently swooning over.
I have been blogging for almost 2 months now, and I am loving it so far. Meeting new, supportive people is my favorite part. I admit that I was afraid to get started. Getting involved with a blog is very intimidating, especially when they’re so many talented women out there. But guys, I realized this is a positive thing! Where can you find a place where you can literally lay out your flaws, your thoughts, your struggles and receive positive, helpful reinforcement? I am one blessed girl, and so happy that I took the plunge!
Not only am I a Netflix junkie, but I am the weirdo who re-watches entire series over and over again. I haven’t seen Hart of Dixie in a couple of years, so it was time! I am so glad I did too because I can now appreciate Zoe Hart and her fabulous fashion.
I just got done with the first season and decided to put together some of my favorite outfits for you guys. Since this series started back in 2011, the exact items are now out of stock or no longer available, so I was able to put together some very similar pieces to get the look. I also mixed some price-friendly items in there too! Under each picture below are the direct links to that specific item.
So with that being said, lets get started!
I love how she dresses up some shorts in this relaxed yet business look. If I could where shorts to my 9-5, I would probably be wearing something like this everyday!
You cannot go wrong with a leather jacket either, it will NEVER go out of style and worth investing in.

Halloween is almost over (insert sad face), and Christmas is literally right around the corner. But up next is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. I normally procrastinate on the decor for holidays, but this year I am prepared. I have searched the web, and this year I am going with a chic and classic Thanksgiving look. I am very excited to take down the black halloween decor and put up some white around this house, and make it light and bright again! Here we go…
Halloween is right around the corner, so I figured it’s only fitting to share some of our Halloween costumes through the years. I love the fact that Christian & Gracie find joy in complimenting each other for Halloween. They seem to always agree (except for this year, I’ll get to that later) on costume ideas. It has became a Dortch tradition to dress up as a family!
side note: PLEASE try to disregard the poor quality of these images, I was not as good before.
It may feel like it, but you are not alone. Being a mom of 2, wife, employee, sister, daughter, etc. and on top of that, a people pleaser, it feels like my days consist of meeting everyone else’s needs and at the end of the day, I am too tired to focus on mine. Anxiety is normal ya’ll! It is a body’s response to deal with everyday threats and future stressful events. It can also happen at bad times or too often, which can lead to an Anxiety disorder. Learning to take care of anxiety on the spot can reduce future panic attacks, headaches, and give you peace of mind. Please keep in mind that I am in no way a doctor or professional, but having an anxiety disorder, I feel like the following 5 steps to be the most helpful…
If you love pumpkin and chocolate raise your hand! I know you probably have been seeing A LOT of fall post recently and some baking recipes with pumpkin, but this is by far the easiest…
Hey Guys! Hope everyone had an eventful weekend. I put a lot of items on my weekend bucket list, expecting to cross out at least half, and I was able to accomplish just that. One of my favorite parts of this weekend was finding this new and used book store with over 23,000 square feet, top to bottom of nothing but books. This wasn’t your ordinary book store, this was a true experience. I could have literally spent HOURS in this place and get lost in time. I can still smell the authentic aroma of old book pages. I was also able to capture some pretty cool pictures from my iPhone!
